Hi gents,

I am trying to install forge on my Raspberry Pi 3B+. I have the lastest version of Raspbian.

I run the installer : java -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.2.2611-installer.jar --installServer

Then it gives me these errors :

I tried to DL manually the scala-library. I put it in the right location ( ../libraries/org/scala-lang/scala-library/2.11.1/).

Still the installer is not using it for installing the files.

But I checked and it creates the folders. And there is a file in each folders with name (for example) : scala-compiler-2.11.1.jar.pack.xz

It looks like there is an error downloading the file, right ?

I tried as well under sudo and still the same error.

What do you think ?

I am very confused beceause everything is working properly on this device. This is the first time I have such an error...

Thank you in advance,

Have a good day,

Alright, I downloaded all the broken files. I checked : it is the proper name, and I replaced all broken files.
Still I have this error :
These libraries failed to download, try again
org.scala-lang.plugins:scala-continuations-library_2.11:1.0.2
org.scala-lang.plugins:scala-continuations-plugin_2.11.1:1.0.2
org.scala-lang:scala-xml_2.11:1.0.2
There was an error during server installation

Problem is, I double checked and I replaced one more time broken files : the good files .jar are systematically destroyed and replaced by partial ones …
This is very strange because I DL exactly the name of the broken parts created by the installer (except it is .jar instead of .jar.pack.xz of course)

Any idea ? :frowning:

I do not recommend downloading the libraries manually, try this solution instead:

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.
