No, you are not using Java 8 to launch the file. That is what the error means.

How do i launch it with java 8 then?

Install Java 8. Or, if you have multiple Java versions installed, specify the full path to the Java executable in your bat file.

I already have java 8. And how do i do that?

Don't just put java -jar, put the full path to the java.exe.

Where in the bat file do i put the path? If the one i found is even correct.

Like... did you even read what I said? I clearly told you what to replace with what.

I read what you said. I just do not know where

java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar forge.jar nogui

You do see the java command though... right?

So, replace it with the full path. Like I said.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar forge.jar nogui

Most confusing thing ever. Replaced java there. Still does not work

What is that path?! Why did you install Java there?

I really don't know what is confusing about this. You installed java, it lets you choose the path where to install it to...

Thing is i did not even change where i installed it to.

Then you were using Java 8 before then. Now you are using Java 9 or 10.

I changed it to this: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_171\bin\java.exe And it is still not working.

Post the new output. "It is not working" provides zero information.

This time it does not even say anything.. It just closes.

Don't close it... Use pause if you have to.

It closes itself in a split second.

No, it doesn't. The pause command waits for a key to be pressed.

It just does not work.

Completely removed java 8 and installed it again. Now it works
