What I want to do is when config has default values from previous version of the mod, it gets changed to a new version default value.

E.g. Version 1.0.0

general{
	#This int does nothing (default: 7)
	I:dummyInt=7
}

When I update the mod to 1.1.0, the default value for dummyInt changes to 9, so if the player has the default config on update the dummyInt value should change to 9

You should be able to check if the config version is the version you want to modify, and if the value is 7, change it to 9. If you didn’t store the config version you might be a bit out of luck
