My mod loads the driver class like this:

Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver");

Where does the "mysql-connector-java-5.1.24.jar" go? I tried in the server root folder and coremods folder.

You tried the lib folder?

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

Just tried now and sill doesn't work.

Can you give an example code in which it would require the connector be placed in the coremods or lib?

Thanks.

Since I never used any external library in my mods, I have no clue then either. Sorry, but there is maybe an other person who can help you.
