I'm attempting to run forge-1.12.2-14.23.4.2739-universal after switching the EULA text to true to get it to generate the rest of the server files. The .jar runs for only a moment before closing without giving any Rhyme or Reason behind it (to my knowledge). I have no idea why this is happening some help would be much appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Do NOT use sites like Mediafire, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or a site that has a countdown before offering downloads.

What to provide:

Post debug.log

Older versions:

...for Installer Issues:

Post your installer log, found in the same place you ran the installer

This log will be called either installer.log or named the same as the installer but with .log on the end

Note for Windows users:

Windows hides file extensions by default so the installer may appear without the .jar extension then when the .log is added the log will appear with the .jar extension

Where to get it:

Mojang Launcher: When using the Mojang launcher debug.log is found in .minecraft\logs.

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

If you don't see logs generated in the usual place, provide the launcher_log.txt from .minecraft

According to the log something else is already running on port 25565, are you sure you don't already have a server open?

I was hoping to simply set up a local server and then install its files through FTP on a friend's Dedicated Server. I do not want to have to port forward.

How are you launching the server?

Are you sure you aren't accidentally running 2 at the same time?

Please don't modify logs before sending them.

I must have been, and I did not edit the logs just changed the config back to normal. It looks like it's working just not showing anything in it chat box.

  Necesito ayuda, cuando intento descargar Forge en SKLauncher se me queda congelado en el (8.8%) y luego me sale el error de OpenJDK platform binary no responde. No se que hacer y no se nada de computación, necesito ayuda muy detallada. I need help. When I try to download Forge in SKLauncher, it freezes at 8.8% and then I get the error "OpenJDK platform binary not responding." I don't know what to do and I don't know anything about computers.
