Hey, I'm trying to get into Minecraft 1.7.10 coding and I'm having trouble getting a custom block step sound to work.

My block class:

            {
                super(soundName, volume, frequency);

            {

and my sounds.json (which is NOT in the sound folder, it is beside it):

The layout of my asset folder is as follows:

assets>exctra>sounds>[various sound files]

 

Any ideas?

1.7.10 is not supported anymore due to its age.

Please use a modern version.
