The com.example.examplemod package? That's there for your convenience, so you can get an idea of how to get started. When you decide you don't need it any more you can safely delete it, or if you're using IntelliJ IDEA, right click the package, browse to "Mark Directory As > Excluded". Of course make sure to go through the resources files and change "examplemod" to your mod ID.
