Posted April 26, 20196 yr Hi everyone, I would have gotten the index of a player's inventory space if it contains a certain item. I looked a bit if there was something that solved my problem, but I didn't find anything. Thank you all! Edited April 27, 20196 yr by MisterGamer _ Solved mark removed
April 26, 20196 yr Iterate through player.inventory and record the index when the ItemStack is what you want. Hint (pseudocode) : Spoiler for (int i = 0; i < player.inventory.getSizeInventory(); i++): if player.inventory.getStackInSlot(i) is what ya want: do stuff with i; EDIT: Just realized that this is already solved... Edited April 27, 20196 yr by DavidM Some tips: Spoiler Modder Support: Spoiler 1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

April 27, 20196 yr You cannot manipulate the player’s inventory on the client side. Send a packet to the server when the button is clicked and perform the inventory editing on the server.
