[1.13.2] How to create rotating blocks with facing *SOLVED*

i created a block and want to rotate it using facing:

public BlockCustomThinGlass(Block.Properties properties) {
		super(properties);
		this.setDefaultState(this.stateContainer.getBaseState().with(HORIZONTAL_FACING, EnumFacing.NORTH));
	}

 

only when I do this, even though it is done in the minecraft files aswell, i get this error:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot set property DirectionProperty{name=facing, clazz=class net.minecraft.util.EnumFacing, values=[north, south, west, east]} as it does not exist in Block{minecraft:air}

IIRC you need to override Block#fillStateContainer and add your state to the builder.
