Make a test with another Launcher like MultiMC or AT Launcher -
You need to update your java version. Try adoptium: https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases/?os=any&arch=any&version=21 Scroll down to windows if that's what you're using. You'll probably want to choose the .msi file. Technically all you should need is the JRE, but when I tried to select it from the dropdown it wasn't working and the JDK works fine too. After you download the .msi file and start the installation wizard, make sure you select the options to add installation to path, set java home variable, and associate jar files with java. Once you've done that, you should be able to run your .sh or .bat script and it should work fine. -
currently trying to create a server and im up to the point of running it via ./run.sh . once i enter this it pops with " Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalStateException: Current Java is 18 but we require at least 21 at net.minecraftforge.bootstrap.shim.Main.main(Main.java:32) " i have no idea about any of this so think of me as a child. what do i do to complete this and start the server? -

So, if anyone interested, i managed it by myself. Just add a field to my entity class called owner id. Then in renderer i just get object of AbstractClientPlayer by this id and use method getSkinTextureLocation(). Works perfectly
