Problem starting modpack server

I'm trying to get a server running for my modpack but I cant seem to get it to start.  AFAIK I have everything set up correctly.  I have java 8 installed, not 9/10, and I'm running on a mac.

 

here's what my start.command looks like:

and here's the message I see in the terminal window, it crashes right away as soon as it starts up:

I've tried it with no mods installed, I've made sure I had java 8 installed, I reinstalled forge/libraries/minecraft_server.  None of that has worked.

Just because you have Java 8 installed does not mean it's your computer's first choice of Java.

Either use the full path of the java binary/executable instead of just invoking java, or uninstall all other versions of Java.

How would I do either of these things?  I tried putting the full path in the start.command but that didn't seem to work, and I don't know how I would make sure a newer version of java is uninstalled.

OH!  I there was a space in the path, I had to put a '\' in front of the space and it worked.  YAy!  Thank you!
