Crashing Minecraft Pixelmon Error

Hello. I've been experiencing a bug recently when I'm playing Minecraft Forge, 1.12.2, Pixelmon 7.0.7. Whenever I attempt to load the game, it will crash and give me this:

Description: There was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail

net.minecraftforge.fml.common.LoaderExceptionModCrash: Caught exception from Pixelmon (pixelmon)
Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ReflectionHelper.getPrivateValue(Ljava/lang/Class;Ljava/lang/Object;Ljava/lang/String;Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/lang/Object;
    at com.pixelmonmod.pixelmon.entities.pixelmon.EntityPixelmon.<clinit>(EntityPixelmon.java:91)

I won't be posting the whole log as I've read the first few lines are the most important bits.
Can you please help me on how I'd fix this bug? I was really looking forward to playing.

Check the pixelmon site for the version of Forge Pixelmon is designed for.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

I do have the appropriate and recommended version. I have everything in line with 1.12.2, as well. I'm getting the same error as before. 
Pixelmon is 1.12.2, version 7.0.7 for the mod. What else could be the "severe error" the system is experiencing?

The same thing is happening to me and my boyfriend. We downloaded the recommended forge version reforged.gg told us to. It still crashes. I’ve tried fixing the JMV thing on the startup from 2g to 5g. I’ve watched so many tutorials. Nothing is helping.

You are hijacking threads, seriously the amount of times people say "We have the same issue" when the only thing in common is that their game isn't working is mind boggling.

Besides that it's much easier to handle when we don't have to indicate which user we are talking to in each message.
