Can't install 1.12.2 forge

I can't install minecraft forge 1.12.2. I can only get 1.14.4 but I don't want this version. I've tried several times to get the 1.12.2 version but it won't change. Yes I did set it to client. I didn't make any changes to it. It's all default. What am I doing wrong?

Forge installs itself as a version of Minecraft.

Make a new Profile/Installation and select Forge from the version dropdown.

(Note: For some reason Forge 1.12.2 gets booted to the bottom of the list.)

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

I've tried to open the version tab and to scroll done to choose the 1.12.2 but it won't let me open the tab.

I can't open the tab. The current version of forge that I installed is 1.12.2-forge1.12.2-14.23.5.2847

I'm sorry. Making a new installation. I tried many times. I've looked up many tutorials and tips but nothing I've tried has worked but I will try it again.

You shouldn't need a tutorial for it, Installation Tab -> New -> Select Minecraft Version, Game Directory (where you want mods, logs, and a configs to be generated), and Java version -> Save -> Play

  If the CCL file is only 1kb sized, then there's the problem. That happened to me, you need to download the CCL file from other place (I don't remember from where I did, if you need it, tell me and I'll send u a drive link where I'll upload it ^^)

  For this what worked for me was putting the LegacyJavaFixer file on the Forge folder, in versions folder, in .minecraft (.minecraft\versions\1.6.4-Forge9.11.1.1345).

  Hi, I made this mod, inspired by my friends and various loud streamers, and it's perfect for YouTubers who want a little extra pizzaz when they scream in their videos. The mod works by detecting a high sound level (which you can configure) through your computer’s audio input. Once the sound threshold is reached, your player character will instantly explode! It doesn't use any external APIs; it just relies on the built-in javax sampled package. Check it out!
