I want to imitate the Mowzie Mod Mobs like (it's incredible, you just have to try it), giving mobs like the Ice Monster or the Carnivorous Plant that only attack if one player is close enough, others have an idle animation that is played if they don't see the player. The ice monster, for example, sleeps if nobody is there, then it plays its animation and attacks. My question now is, when does my mob play which animation and how can I make it attack players? (Never programmed with mobs and only found 4 tutorials about attack, but I need more information for make a animated attack).
