I have an entity in my mod which displays text when right-clicked; how can I make it select randomly and display one line from a selection?

Also, once it displays this message, I'd like it to not display a message the next time it is right clicked.

Current 'on interact' code:

    public boolean interact(EntityPlayer player)
    {
    	if(!player.worldObj.isRemote)
    	{
        player.sendChatToPlayer("Testing");
    	}
return true;
    }

Thanks.

you could have something like

String[] derp = [{"hi","hello","eat my shorts"}];

Random rand = new Random();

public boolean interact(EntityPlayer player)

    {

    if(!player.worldObj.isRemote)

    {

        player.sendChatToPlayer(derp[rand.nextInt(derp.size()-1)]);

    }

return true;

    }

Okay, thanks! I'll try that. EDIT: Works!

How might I go about making it only work once? I tried looking at the code for checking whether a wolf is angry or not, but that didn't help.

for the random picking

Note this is probably not efficient at all within the second loop

import java.util.LinkedList;
import java.util.List;
import java.util.Random;

public class Main
{
static List<String> stringList = new LinkedList<String>();
static Random rand = new Random();

public static void main(String[] args)
{
	for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
		stringList.add(i, Integer.toString(i));

	for(int i = 0; i < stringList.size() + 1; i++)
	{
		int element = rand.nextInt(stringList.size());
		System.out.println(stringList.get(element));
		stringList.remove(element);
		i--;
		if(i < 0) i = 0;
	}

}

}

you could add a boolean to the entity so it would be like

boolean hasBeenClicked = false;

String[] derp = [{"hi","hello","eat my shorts"}];

Random rand = new Random();

public boolean interact(EntityPlayer player)

    {

    if(!player.worldObj.isRemote&&!hasBeenClicked)

    {

        player.sendChatToPlayer(derp[rand.nextInt(derp.size()-1)]);

        hasBeenClicked = true;

    }

return true;

    }

Okay, thanks! It works now.

EDIT: I've changed the boolean to an int which is initially 0; it checks on click to see if  hasBeenClicked < 3 , what would the line be to add 1 to the value of  hasBeenChecked  (as opposed to  hasBeenClicked = true; )?
