I hope I'm using the correct terminology in here. When I say a .jar file, I mean a compressed file that I Can only open with Winrar

As I said, when I try to download forge for 1.14.4, it only downloads as a .jar, so I have to open it with Winrar. I have gone through every file in the .zip and there is no .exe for me to run.

I use the installer, I have java downloaded. I can even download 1.12.3 and it runs correctly. However, anything past 1.12.3 will only download as a .jar file for me, and I can't actually install forge with it. Is there something I am doing wrong, because I have seen several people say they have fixed it, but no one actually posts how.. If I figure it out, I'll be sure to post a follow up to this!

That is supposed to happen. Forge installers come in jars.

If your computer associates the opening of jar files with other applications that are not Java, run the jar via command line or use JarFix.

Right, as I said I think I Was using the wrong terms. It opens as a .rar file, needing Winrar to open it. However, if I download 1.12.3, it will open it like normal and let me download it.
