Hi i'm trying to create a modded server with forge. I used the forge installer to "install server" it added 3 files to my created folder: Libraries(folder), forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2847-universal and minecraft_server.1.12.2.

But when i try to run the forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2847-universal.jar file to start unpacking and creating all the files it does nothing.

I looked around for the same issue and what i came upon is I need java 8 not 9, which I have. I also made .bat file to run it but the cmd only shows for a second and its gone.

I then opened the Windows PowerShell to run it and this is what i have.

.......AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\server> java -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2847-universal.jar

A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
