Posted May 7, 201312 yr I'm curious and I'm not sure where I'd even begin to look. Without becoming a core mod, is there a way for a block to lower the light levels around it besides acting like a beacon and providing buffs? Basically suppressing the light around it by one or two levels. I can't see it being particularly possible from what I know. May 7, 201312 yr Does the beacon lower light levels around itself? If you guys dont get it.. then well ya.. try harder...
May 7, 201312 yr Author No, but there is a darkness buff that can be applied somehow somewhere. Beacons let you apply buffs to anyone in an area so I could copy over the code from that and have a block cast darkness on anyone nearby. However, it wouldn't be the same as actually changing light levels. Does that make sense?
