Please Help.

     I'm trying to download Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2, I'm on macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6 (18G103). I've tried to download it multiple times now following 3 different guides, I used "Installer" not "Windows Installer" and I've tried downloading both latest and recommended multiple time. Every time it stalls on the same part of the download (shown in image) that being:

"Downloading libraries

Unpacking packed file akka-actor_2.11-2.3.3.jar.pack.xz".

I'm sorry for posting this in general but I can't use support because the mods that I'm going to use aren't for the latest version. It is always problem free up until the stalling. I would appreciate any help I can get and I will answer any further questions to the best of my ability. If this isn't the right place to ask this or there is a more appropriate place for me to ask this please let me know where to ask. Thanks.

1.12 is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
