So I just got my first linux computer and I was wanting to try modded minecraft. However, I'm pretty confused as to how to install forge. For reference I'm running Ubuntu 20.04. HELP PLEASE!

Context is required, just saying "HELP PLEASE!" will get you nowhere.

It's sad how much time mods spend saying "x is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support".

when I try to open it nothing happens. I've given it permission and I've also tried running using java -jar command in the terminal but it came back with this message, "Error: Unable to access jarfile forge-1.15.2-31.1.0-launcher.jar"

I tried again from my downloads but the it gave me this message, "FATAL ERROR, You need to run the installer. The libraries required to launch a server are missing"
