[1.15.2] Clientside attacker is always null in LivingAttackEvent

Featured Replies

Title describes the problem. I'd like to get the attacker of a LivingAttackEvent, but event.getSource().getImmediateSource() returns null regardless of the actual immediate source of the attack.

Is there something I'm missing? Why can I not get the immediate source from a LivingAttackEvent?

P.S. Any help is much appreciated!

Because you are on the client and the attacker is not needed there. So it's not synced over the network.

Is there nothing I can do to achieve the same effect?
