[1.15.2] Is there a method to find exactly where the user has left clicked on a block?

Hey Forgers!

Like mentioned in the title, I'm curious if there's a way to know exactly where the user has left clicked on a custom block (for brevity, let's assume my mod owns this block)?

For background, I'm looking at creating a "keypad" security mod, which would allow users to type (click on the different mini buttons inside the block in succession) in their pin and then activate a redstone signal.

It's a been a while since I've played modded minecraft heavily, but I remember playing around with the chisel and bits mod which let you modify individual bits within a block.

Thanks! 😀

At the moment this is only possible with right clicking. Left clicking does not transmit the ray-trace information to the server. You'd have to catch LeftClickBlock event clientside, get the ray trace and send it over in a custom packet.

For simplicity I'll start with right clicking then, either way, it sounds plausible, thanks for responding so quickly!!
