Posted June 12, 201312 yr These are the crafting recipes that i've added. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(CobaltBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "CCC","CSC","CCC",'C',Cobalt,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(NobeliumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "NNN","NSN","NNN",'N',Nobelium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(EuropiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "EEE","ESE","EEE",'E',Europium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(TechnetiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "TTT","TST","TTT",'T',Technetium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(ZincBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "ZZZ","ZSZ","ZZZ",'Z',Zinc,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(FermiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "FFF","FSF","FFF",'F',Fermium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now every seems ok and it should run perfectly but it doesn't. I think it has to do with the Block.stoneBrick. I couldn't find this block in net.minecraft.block. I typed Block.StoneBrick and an error appered. When i hovered over it the option to change to Block.stoneBrick appeared and so i thought it was the right one. Here is my crash report. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Don't be sad, have a hug! <3 Time: 6/12/13 9:20 AM Description: Failed to start game java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String cannot be cast to java.lang.Character at net.minecraft.item.crafting.CraftingManager.addRecipe(CraftingManager.java:186) at cpw.mods.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry.addShapedRecipe(GameRegistry.java:244) at cpw.mods.fml.common.registry.GameRegistry.addRecipe(GameRegistry.java:239) at Silence.SteamCraft.steamCraft.load(steamCraft.java:122) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLModContainer.handleModStateEvent(FMLModContainer.java:494) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventHandler.handleEvent(EventHandler.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventHandler.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventHandler.java:45) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:314) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:296) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:267) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.sendEventToModContainer(LoadController.java:186) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.propogateStateMessage(LoadController.java:166) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventHandler.handleEvent(EventHandler.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventHandler.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventHandler.java:45) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:314) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:296) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:267) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.distributeStateMessage(LoadController.java:103) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.initializeMods(Loader.java:691) at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.finishMinecraftLoading(FMLClientHandler.java:213) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.startGame(Minecraft.java:448) at net.minecraft.client.MinecraftAppletImpl.startGame(MinecraftAppletImpl.java:44) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:733) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- System Details -- Details: Minecraft Version: 1.5.2 Operating System: Windows 7 (amd64) version 6.1 Java Version: 1.7.0_21, Oracle Corporation Java VM Version: Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (mixed mode), Oracle Corporation Memory: 814948040 bytes (777 MB) / 1037959168 bytes (989 MB) up to 1037959168 bytes (989 MB) JVM Flags: 3 total; -Xincgc -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M AABB Pool Size: 0 (0 bytes; 0 MB) allocated, 0 (0 bytes; 0 MB) used Suspicious classes: FML and Forge are installed IntCache: cache: 0, tcache: 0, allocated: 0, tallocated: 0 FML: MCP v7.51 FML v5.2.21.729 Minecraft Forge 7.8.0.729 4 mods loaded, 4 mods active mcp{7.44} [Minecraft Coder Pack] (minecraft.jar) Unloaded->Constructed->Pre-initialized->Initialized FML{5.2.21.729} [Forge Mod Loader] (coremods) Unloaded->Constructed->Pre-initialized->Initialized Forge{7.8.0.729} [Minecraft Forge] (coremods) Unloaded->Constructed->Pre-initialized->Initialized SteamCraftd{v1.0 Minecraft 1.5.2 @TheSilenceKey} [steam Craft] (bin) Unloaded->Constructed->Pre-initialized->Errored LWJGL: 2.4.2 OpenGL: GeForce GTX 680/PCIe/SSE2 GL version 4.3.0, NVIDIA Corporation Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge' Type: Client (map_client.txt) Texture Pack: Default Profiler Position: N/A (disabled) Vec3 Pool Size: ~~ERROR~~ NullPointerException: null
June 12, 201312 yr Just try changing the Block.stoneBrick to Block.stone Then if that works, it is because you are trying to call a block that doesn't exist (I don't know what Stone Brick is as a Block.XXXX) If it still crashes when you use a Block.XXX that is definitely a correct value, then you know it isn't the block. Because other than the stonebrick I don't see any errors Why bother?
June 12, 201312 yr Author So i've changed to Block.stone and i still crash. I've changed it to Item.stick and it still crashed. I don't understand what could be causing this because everything worked just fined until i added that code in.
June 12, 201312 yr GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(CobaltBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "CCC","CSC","CCC",'C',Cobalt,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(NobeliumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "NNN","NSN","NNN",'N',Nobelium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(EuropiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "EEE","ESE","EEE",'E',Europium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(TechnetiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "TTT","TST","TTT",'T',Technetium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(ZincBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "ZZZ","ZSZ","ZZZ",'Z',Zinc,"S",Block.stoneBrick, }); GameRegistry.addRecipe(new ItemStack(FermiumBrickBlock,16), new Object[]{ "FFF","FSF","FFF",'F',Fermium,"S",Block.stoneBrick, doesn't it has to be 'S' and not "S"?... http://i.imgur.com/sKDS7bj.png[/img] http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1877292-15x-forge-smp-nightmarecraft-alpha-10-it-started-with-a-dream-new/
