I want to update my mod from 1.16.1 to 1.16.2. But now the ore gen part is completely broken.

 

This code worked on 1.15.2 and 1.16.1:

But like I said, now it is very broken. I know that 1.16.2 has added experimental support for custom biomes in datapacks, and that there were probably some backend changes, but I didn't know that there were so much. And everything that has changed is obfuscated

Can somebody help me please: What do I have to change?

Ore generation and all features will be handled through jsons now. Forge is currently working on a system to implement appendages to json files for all users to add their features to. When they actually finish and implement, there will probably be an announcement about it.

So no. You can google something on dimension/biome jsons in general though.

I'm actually a datapack programmer, but this is too much work for me. I will stick with 1.16.1 until forge has a better system.
