Posted December 27, 20204 yr I'm currently coding a mod that moves the player to different locations in the world. How can I move the player forwards, backwards and sideways? It should look like a real player and not just teleporting. Edited December 27, 20204 yr by DerNoobYT
December 28, 20204 yr Look at how entities in general are moved. The player is just an entity. Entities have velocity variables in them, which you can use to move them. Look through some entity AI goals, and in entity navigators to see these in actions. The Minecraft class has a reference to the client player, however you may need to send a packet to the server (or something similar) in order for the server to get the memo. How to ask a good coding question: https://stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask Give logs, code, desired effects, and actual effects. Be thorough or we can't help you. Don't post code without putting it in a code block (the <> button on the post - select "C-type Language"): syntax highlighting makes everything easier, and it keeps the post tidy.
