June 30, 201313 yr Hi, can someone please explain to me how the client lets the server know it is running a FML client. It seems it needs to send a FA packet (plugin message) with "FML" as the channel. But I cant find when to send this, before or after encryption is enabled. And I dont know what data to send with the packet (0 bytes?). Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

July 1, 201313 yr Author Yes it does. I am trying to make a custom client and I cant find anything on the protocol that the Forge framework uses. Hopefully someone has an idea that can respond. Thanks.
July 1, 201313 yr Open the source for networking and read how it works there? The best documentation is the code itself I believe that's the best way to find your way around how it works If you guys dont get it.. then well ya.. try harder...
