[1.16.5] New to Modding and Java! Any good guides for changing worldgen?

Hi! As the title says, I am new the Java. I am looking to make a mod that will effectively create a world full of islands, and the way I'm wanting to do this is by making it so that every land biome will always be surrounded by ocean biomes. So I'm basically looking to change the biome distribution of the world, rather than how those biome will end up looking. If any of you have any beginner friendly guides or any tips for doing this sort of thing, I'd love to see it! Thanks in advance

Edit: If it matters, I am using forge 1.16.5. I already have eclipse and the project files all set up, I'm just looking to get into the coding part now.

mod works well it would be better if the fishing rod wasnt unbrekable tho hope u can make it for the newer versions @FoxyWoxy

New Forum Design/Update: Issues and Suggestions

Hiho,

first of all I want to say that the new forum design looks really good.

However, there are currently two issues:

In the "Unread" section, the "Mark all as Read" feature seems to be missing - or am I just overlooking it somewhere?
Some threads don’t automatically get marked as read when you open them. So the post still shows up in "Unread," even though you’ve already viewed it.

Then I have a smaller suggestion, referring to the Text Editor:

It is possible to move out the "Inline Code"-Feature from the "More Formatting Options" and add it directly to the Text Editor Tool Bar?
Same for "Quote"-Feature inside the Create Section

These two features are used quite often (at least by me) - as far as I remember, they were also available in the old forum design.

That fixed it! it's still being weird and not actually printing anything to CMD but the logs look fine and eventually the gui generated looking normal. Thanks for your help I've done that on linux before but windows servers have always just worked with one click for some reason for me

Make sure you are using Java 17 JDK

In the start script, replace the word "java" with the java 17 path (javaw.exe) and put it into quotation marks

There are client-side-only mods in your server - start with removing justenoughbreeding
