  1. It should be possible to overwrite the existing behaviour simply by calling DispenserBlock.registerDispenseBehavior with your IDispenseItemBehavior. If you want to delegate to the existing behaviour, you'll need to use reflection to access DispenserBlock.DISPENSE_BEHAVIOR_REGISTRY and fetch the existing behaviour before overwriting it.
  2. Here is how I make my own config in my mod. And this is my progress on the standard config GUI (GitHub link for the source if you want to steal it)
  3. I've implemented IEntityAdditionalSpawnData in my entity class but neither writeSpawnData nor readSpawnData ever seemed to be called? @Override public void writeSpawnData(PacketBuffer buf) { buf.writeInt(test); } @Override public void readSpawnData(PacketBuffer buf) { test = buf.readInt(); No breakpoints are ever hit, nor is anything logged in the console if I try. Am I missing something?
  4. This solved the problem for me First register your entity with custom client factory like this .setCustomClientFactory((spawnEntity, world) -> new ExempleEntity(world)) And then use NetworkHooks#getEntitySpawningPacket to get Entity Spawning Packet @Override public IPacket<?> createSpawnPacket() { return NetworkHooks.getEntitySpawningPacket(this); } that's it ?
