  1. Forge 1.18.1 Setting Ram!

    Hello! My friend and I created a minecraft server using the Forge 1.18.1 installer. We need to set more ram than the standard settings but we can't figure out how to increase the ram beyond 4GB. We have created many servers before but have never ran into a JVM_args document before and don't know how to approach it. Thank you!

  2. Allocating ram through jvm argument file... No effect?

    In an attempt to increase performance on a heavily modded forge server i have, i tried to use the jvm argument file and yet the server screen when running still says the memory usage is capping at the same point before allocation, same percent free. So i guess my question is, is it working and this screen is not accurate or did i do something wrong? (Included is the line i used on the user_jvm_args.txt) "-Xmx6G -Xms2G"
