You shouldn't have any need to delete it, yes it might be annoying but it won't prevent you from installing other Forge versions.

I believe this is actually an issue in the launcher_profiles.json with the launcher interpreting the Forge profile as if it's managed/default/whatever similar to "Latest Version".

User was banned for using a cracked launcher. Buy the game.

The filenames of one or more of your mods suggests you got them from a repost site. Please read up on the StopModReposts project (link in my signature) for info on why this is a bad thing.

I'm not sure I even understand what you're saying. Please recreate the crash and provide your debug.log using one of the paste sites listed in my signature.

If you look at the crash log, specifically this part: and do a bit of Googling I think you might be able to find out what's wrong with the format of your config file. Hint: It's a JSON file.

You can either delete the config and let it re-generate the default or you can see where you went wrong with the formatting
