  1. No, Add-Ons are coming to "All editions of minecraft". This is really something that Lex should address or at-least acknowledge. "Now available on mobile, console and Windows 10: Add-Ons are the first step on our journey towards bringing even greater levels of customisation to all editions of Minecraft." https://minecraft.net/en-us/addons/
  2. I am likely going to be wheelchair bound for the next two months. I have an intermediate understanding of C++, to the extent where I can use recursive functions and have a firm understanding of pointers, and why you almost always reference instead. Point me in the general direction of something I need to do and I can figure out how to do it on my own. IE, finding college lectures and filtering through stack exchange for answers. Of course, I would need a list of your house functions and what they do so I do not reinvent the wheel
  3. Addons are a happening thing. I believe it is important for Lex to address this. https://minecraft.net/en-us/addons/faq/
  4. I have limited experience in C++ and understand that if I get a job developing in C++, within the next 20 years it is likely that it will be used predominantly for kernels for higher level languages to run on. I also know that the C# version and Java versions of minecraft will be sporting a plugin system tricked out to allow minecraft to be microsofts definition of "fully customizable". If they held their word and TRULY made minecraft fully customizable via plugins, could Forge create plugins that would allow mods from old versions of minecraft. While I know this may or may not be very worth while for the developers of forge. I am simply wondering if this is theoretically possible, even if it is not feasible.
  5. I'm running the latest forge server for 1.7.10, build 10.13.4.1614. I have several mods that add new dimensions. Runic dungens, nomadic tents, mystcraft, dimensional doors, extra utilities, and I believe thaumcraft also adds a dimension. But the server seems to be only able to generate vanilla dimensions, with users who leave getting a ticking screen, out of range, or dimension not generated error. Looking at the server world, the dimension appears to be generated, however, judging that every nomadic tent tries to send you to dimension 68, the dimensions do not appear to be registered
