  1. Absolute pain in the ass to stop it from using JDK 15, but it turns out you can do it by setting manual overrides in the configurations. Resolved. And thank you so much for the assistance, but unfortunately I have another error. Should I make a different discussion or continue it here?
  2. Its still running JDK 15 through a vm like I thought it would. I don't even have Java 15 installed on my computer.
  3. I know that, no need to be sarcastic. The issue is, Eclipse, which is recommended, automatically installs JRE 15. The lowest you can get it is JRE 11. Will that cause issue too? Or is it fine to have JRE 15 and JDK 8 at the same time? Clarification: It runs it as a vm which I assume is used when running the tasks which would override the JDK wouldn't it?

  5. It's been 7 years since I modded minecraft so excuse the rust. I am following the tutorial apart of Forgedocs, 1.16.X, and am up to step two of Building and Testing Your Mod on the page Getting Started. I am running the "runClient" in the fg_runs folder, after running the "build" in the build folder, through the Gradle Tasks window. The process fails once it reaches the execution "Execute exec for :runClient". I have looked around the forums and all of them talk about about a mod.toml file. I don't seem to have one, and am not sure how I would go about getting one or if it is even relevant.
