tried .png and jpg, 100x100, 150x150, 200x200, 300x300, 600x600. keep getting this message: The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved. So yeah. neither work. I'm going to assume there's a file size/type issue.
-
did you run minecraft at least once after installing forge? If you didn't, you probably should. Or you could just make a new folder inside the .minecraft folder called "mods" there is no difference. Folders are just folders. There's no magical fairy that flies around in .minecraft that says the mods folder is special. However if you already ran minecraft once after installing and the mods folder still isn't there, you may have installed forge improperly. More information is needed. Did minecraft crash? Did you delete the META-INF folder inside the minecraft.jar? Anything else peculiar?
-
There isn't a lot of info regarding avatars, and my search didn't bring anything up. What I would like to know is: The supported file types. The maximum and minimum dimensions. The maximum and minimum file size. I can't seem to upload a .jpg file. I've tried many sizes

What i meant is, in RenderGlobal.class under loadRenderers() There is a specific call to the setGraphicsLevel right before the world is re-rendered. all i have to do is post an event right before or after the call. then in your event listener, you can update the static info in your leaves class.
-
Since it seems that other people have this problem, what i could do is send a pr to forge that adds a loadrenderers event and passes an instance of a renderer class. It will called each time the world is re-rendered. You can then use the graphics setting.

[SOLVED][1.4.2] 6.0.1 Noob question regarding Half-slabs

new Itemstack(Block.whatever.blockID, metadata) instead of Block.whatever -
i have a block that spawns in an item into an item slot in a gui. it works fine with the integrated server as well as with lan servers, but when i put it on an actual server, i can no longer drag items around my inventory while the GUI is open, nor will the item spawn in. Not sure why this happens. I am going to assume that making a GUI fully multi-player for an actual server is still a little different than for the integrated server.
-
weird, on a server, i cant move items in or out of it, but with client and integrated server it works just fine.
-
acts as a container for items. occasionally puts items in its own inventory. every 30 sec. or so.
-
this is a lame question, but if i have a GUI do i need to send packets to make it server compatible?
-
no, you could have any block on your head actually, if you can get it into the slot. the problem is that the pumpkin overlay to your screen is rendered in base classes. endermen behavior is also in base classes.
-
Events are fired twice, once for client, and once for server. the isRemote is to filter who runs what. When you put your mod in a real server things get confusing, and getting isRemote right can be critical. As for the block event, there is none. if there were, the server would die. Ask yourself how many blocks are broken per minute when multiple people are mining on a sever, say 30 people. That should answer why there is none.
-
In MC 1.3.2, item entities stack together when they're near each other. Where is the code for this behavior? Is this added by forge? Is there a way to disable it without editing base classes? Is there a config? Or is this just when i run it in eclipse. I wanted to make a shower of the same item, but it just combines in midair and looks terrible. I wanted to make it so that my item doesn't stack like that while it is an entity.
-
ASM might not be your best option if you're just starting out. Also, it greatly decreases performance. I believe it is similar to java reflection. An alternate solution is to take your fake dirt block and replace all real dirt in the world. then give it all the real dirt functions. then have it drop real dirt and your item when broken. not the best idea in my opinion I would recommend every other alternative, but if you absolutely have to get something to drop from dirt, then feel free to use ASM/java reflection, just note that the game will be laggier.

How to get leaves to render based off of graphics setting
gravitythief replied to gravitythief's topic in Modder Support
the problem is that i can't get that method to be called on when the world is re-rendered. I might need to make a render event or something, but that would require base modding.
