  1. Wow, we've had a lot of 1.8.8 builds.. I was remembering an issue fry had a while back that was fixed. I'll have fry take a look at this.
  2. Update Forge to something actually recent.
  3. If you run the installer and don't have internet it will attempt to install anyways and tell you that it cant download libraries. UNLESS you already have the libraries installed in which case it doesn't need to download them again so there isn't a issue. I am still REALLY curious what file you're getting from our server that is NOT the one I linked... If you have any way to test that out it would be great. I would suspect that you have some form of proxy/virus/firewall/anti-virus that is intercepting your data and modifying it somehow.
  4. You appear to have NEI installed twice...
  5. You could manually go through and do everything the installer does: Download all libraries specified in the json and put them in the correct folder. Copy json data to versions folder. Put Forge jar into libraries folder. Not to difficult just a lot of steps because there are a lot of libraries. However the better option would be to try and figure out what you're getting for the mirrior list and why it is wrong. That list hasnt been updated in months and works for millions of users, so there is something on your end messing things up.
  6. [me=LexManos]mutters that in 1.8 you just specify extra variants for the same property set and minecraft will randomly select the version based on coordinates.... Nothing fancy needed besides specifying more models.[/me]
  7. This is not, Let me repeat. This is NOT an issue! This is INTENDED, Note the whole 'Successfully installed' message! If you are not using a pirated launcher then IT WILL WORK JUST FINE. If you are getting an error then we will ban you from the forums for using a pirated launcher. How many times do I need to explain this shit.
  8. Triangels are squares with a duplicate corner.
  9. They don't update 1.8.8 because when mojang releases a version it's final, they would gave to release 1.8.9. Which is possible, IF the bugs are big enough. How about this, what if there was a community project, that edited Minecraft, fixed its bugs, while also adding in extra features that modders could use. Something that could take all the different things that are wrong with Minecraft and mods, and reForge them into something that better... God, I wish there was a project like that..
  10. Interesting, Is your firewall or something blocking your connection? Try again. It's downloading this file to get the list of mirriors: http://files.minecraftforge.net/mirror-brand.list {Currently we dont have any} And it's formatted correctly, so something on your end is messing up the file it's downloading...
  11. User was banned for using a cracked launcher.
  12. Ohh you have a log and a video, maybe you posted something useful. NOPE I said stack trace for a god damn reason -.- So I can know WHAT is calling that function with invalid params. -.-
  13. Try updating to tonight's build, did a little work related to this, MIGHT fix the issue. No guarantees tho as this is a threading issue that is hard to debug from just a stack trace.
  14. One or more of the mods you're using is doing something derpy with an items tooltip. Whatever item you're hovering over when you crash is to blame. Sadly as this error doesnt tell us what items I can't point you any more forward you're gunna have to look and see.
  15. No, they are not related. As you are in dev world I can't say what the issue is because out line numbers dont match up. However something is editing something that it's looping over in the update method, you should try debugging for yourself and see whats going on.
  16. You can change whatever you want but I would strongly advise against doing base edits especially if your goal is to release them for old versions. Old versions have been replaced with new ones for reasons, you should update.
  17. In theory yes, post the full stack trace and see if something is getting messed up along the way.
  18. Forge dev workspace is simple to use. And our fork of FF has gradle wrapper that builds it and manages everything just fine. If you can't figure out the simple processes for using those then you should probalbly try researching and probably would derp up things in MC itself if you started 'fixing some core minecraft server code' -.-
  19. Forge{And MCP} use fernflower to decompile minecraft because Fernflower is a java decompiler and minecraft is written in java... What else do you want to know?
  20. That isnt a error, its a bug with the version of netty MC uses in 1.8.8, nothing we can do about it.
  21. Forge loads \mods\{MC VERSION} So you can have mods\1.8 And Mods\1.7.10
  22. Vanilla works just fine what are you talking about SPECIFICALLY. Show code, screenshots, everything.
  23. NEI is trying to render an invalid item, try removing it and speaking with chickenbones.
  24. This is not ego driven, and there is no issue here. Once we release a recommended build the Optifine guy will update. Stop trying to be antagonistic. Diesieben is simply stating how it is, and our official stance that we do not support base editing mods. Its stated in both our eaq and in the Optifine thread that Optifine MAY be compatible. And in Optifines thread he clearly lists the versions of Forge he's built for. So again, stop being antagonistic, this topic is resolved.
