  1. There is ALWAYS a log, be it in the console, in the launcher, or logged to a file. Give it to us.
  2. Sometime in the 1.8 chain post 1.8 they added rotation to tall plants. That may be causing the issue. Vanilla 1.8 works on 1.8.7 server?
  3. So you teach modders how to do it wrong and then call yourself a good tutorial.. No Teach them the system not your addon tools.
  4. Buy a real computer {not mac} or disable the loading screen.
  5. You cant run bukkit plugins on Forge. And you need to use the installer and upload all files. Talk to your host on how to upload all necessary files.
  6. We decided against this when we developed the @Mod system. Having a generic abstract base class is mainly just bloat and limits functionality. Using annotations allow for expansion, mix/matching and expansion without breaking mods. So no, this is something we specifically decided against in the beginning.
  7. Remember, the main benefit of using the normal block models over the tesrs is that the data is cached, and only rendered with the entire chunk. NOT every frame like a TESR. Now this is a downfall when you want to do animated things beyond just textures. TESRs are expensive in this aspect but powerful. So the suggest method is to use a hybrid of the two. Use a normal model for the non-animated parts and a TESR for just the animated stuff. The example I like to throw out is chests. When the chest is open/closed it should be a full model in the normal render pipeline. When a chest is ANIMATING, it should be a 'bottom' should be a normal model. And the 'lid' should be in a TESR. Once the animation is done, clamp it down and tell the chunk to re-render with the baked model.
  8. Dont use crap 'Mod Installers' they steal mods and wrap them in malware/adware to make money.

  10. you dont run the universal jar {unless you're running a server} use the installer.

  13. Network security 101: There is NO POSSIBLE WAY to trust the packets you receive. The client ALWAYS lies. So no, there is no possible way to add this protection in, you just need to verify that the client should be doing what it's telling you it's doing.

  16. Nothing in Forge would corrupt worlds. I take great pride in that. So before you go blaming Forge please try and do some bug tracking and see what mod it is that is causing it.
  17. Either you have a corrupt mod, or it's broken. We'd have to see the logs. However it looks like thermal dynamics seems to be trying to read a block that is not what it's wanting. Talk to the thermal dynamics authors, also post the logs, ALWAYS.
  18. Disable the loading screen, or get a less crap video card.

  20. Thats not how modding works its impossible. As for 1.8.7 security fixes, all of them are in Forge. So there is no reason to update for the end user.
  21. PixelMon seems to be broken. Its trying to access a enum value that doesnt exist, it needs to add it.
  22. Oh herp a derp, how did I miss that, also how did he get a FML only version with the loader. But ya go install Forge.
  23. Remove whatever coremods you have installed they are breaking things.
