When i download 1.8.9 on forge it does not work. It just does not put it in my game launcher. Is there anyway to fix this?

1.8 is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
