Is it possible to copy+paste/"manually install" an older Forge version?

I need an older version of Forge 1.12.2 for Flans Mod compatibility (the sentry gun does not work with latest version of Forge 1.12.2).

And right now it should be known that most of the installers for older versions of Forge 1.12.2 do not work. 

However, I was wondering if I could manually copy a .minecraft/versions/1.12.2-forge-(forge version) folder into .minecraft/versions, if someone provided a copy of their Forge version folder. 

If this does work I will need any version of Forge 14.23.2.2611 (minimum oldest version) up to Forge 14.23.5.2818 (last known compatible/working version) for 1.12.2, so if anyone could provide that somehow that would be great.

1.12 is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
