When I try to open forge 1.8.9, it opens minecraft launcher straight away not giving me a page named Mod System Installer.

When I try to download forge, when I open it, it immediately opens Minecraft launcher, not giving me a 'Mod System Installer' page screen which asks me to either Install client, install server or extract.

(If you'd like to see the page i'm talking about go to 6:37 on the video How to download and install the Patcher mod (by PixelForging).

PLEASE HELP!

1.8 is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
