kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I attached a video on this one. It shows what happened to me. IDK how to fix that. If I run fore installer 1.17.1 it does output something but so short time that I cannot even read anything and it just closes. I have tryed to use "java.exe" and "javaw.exe" and both just does the same. What is the reasoning of that. It pops out an command prompt looking windows for about a second but then closes constantly. I haveinstalled forge and its mods a lot befoure. This is my new PC so im doing the same thing again. I have java 8 now. I had java 16 and 11 befoure, but i thought that having 11, 8, and 16 at same time might glitch it. But the reason seems not to be so. So help me, since i dont really know what is the reasoning of that and how to fix it. I really need it. Luis_ST Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 run the installer via cmd and post the output command line java -Xmx1G -jar <path_and_file_name>.jar Quote
kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 ok i will, btw the error in the launcher is unable to update minecraft native launcher Quote
kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 i did the command what you told me to. There was literally no output. It didnt say that the command was wrong. It just gave me a new line to write commands. Quote
kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 I also tryed to type the command in a ".bat" or a ".cmd" file. I did " java -Xmx1G -jar C:\Users\Kivasopo123 pro\Downloads\forge-1.17.1-37.0.44-installer.jar pause " . But sadly no output, it just closed it. What now? Quote
kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 I did the re-installation too. I have currently java 8. Though, I didnt reboot after uninstallation. I just installed java 8 right away and rebooted afterwerds. Do I need to re-install java? Quote
kivasopo Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 umm, java is installed in the default location (programfiles - java - jre 8_301 - bin - java.exe/javaw.exe), in the version of java 8_301 of course, and echo is set to off, I remember since I forgot how to check that. Quote
