[1.16.1] Sapling Model

I can't get my sapling cross block texture to appear. It shows up as a purple x. The "maple_sapling.png" file is in my textures/blocks file. I got the item model to load. This is my blockstate and block model code:

its 'cross' and not 'all' in textures
