i saw this in a mod(the code is written in 1.16.5) but is giving me erros, it doesnt find player.playerInfo and playerInfo.playerTexturesLoaded, in the class that was made it doesnt extends anything

public static void setPlayerSkin(AbstractClientPlayerEntity player, ResourceLocation texture) {
        if (player.getLocationSkin().equals(texture)) {
            return;
        }
        NetworkPlayerInfo playerInfo = player.playerInfo;
        if (playerInfo == null) return;
        Map<MinecraftProfileTexture.Type, ResourceLocation> playerTextures = playerInfo.playerTextures;
        playerTextures.put(MinecraftProfileTexture.Type.SKIN, texture);
        if (texture == null) {
            playerInfo.playerTexturesLoaded = false;
        }
    }

They are private, and that explains why your IDE can't "find" it.

If you navigate to the class you should see them, and in this case they probably made it visible (public) by using access transformers.

I know this is basic java knowledge but PLEASE tell me a solution, i already learned java but i never imagined how i can use public, private and protected(obviusly i use them but i dont know how to connect private fieds so my class) im BEGGING YOU tell me how, i tried some tutorials of how to access to private fields but it wasnt helpful

Did you had a look at the link to the Forge doc I attached?

i wrote the accessmodifier thing, refreshed the build.gradle file and even restarted my idle but it didnt worked, i checked the location of where the .cfg file should be but there is nothing(src/main/resources/META-INF/accesstransformer.cfg), there is only the mods.toml

1. There's "relaod button" on the gradle panel (mine is located on the upper right side).

2. Or in the "search everywhere" type "Reload All Gradle Projects"

3. Or close the IDE, delete .idea folder, and re-import the project.

thank you :), hey "your button that is located on the upper right side", does it do the same as the "Reload All Gradle Projects" in search everywhere?

    • I have setup a 1.12.2 forge server  occasionally it throws a '[Server thread/WARN] [minecraft/MinecraftServer]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 2316ms behind, skipping 46 tick(s)' and a ram usage spike  I have 32gb of ram installed in my pc and on a vanilla server l would normally just make a run.bat file but it is not working   When I launch the run.bat C:\Users\Max\Desktop\1.12.2 server>java -Xmx4G -Xms4G -jar minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar nogui C:\Users\Max\Desktop\1.12.2 server>PAUSE Press any key to continue . . .   The run.bat file contains java -Xmx4G -Xms4G -jar minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar nogui PAUSE Any advice would be appreciated

    • https://mclo.gs/NQ786zI   I don’t understand what I need to do.
    • I am wanting to give the armour in my mod special properties, but I have no idea how to do so.   For the first armour set I want it to be the case that when the full set is worn it has the properties of a carved pumpkin, making it so you won't aggravate endermen when you look at them.    The second, and presumably harder property is that for the second set I would like it to be the case that when the full set is worn, you can walk over the void without falling. (I was considering using the levitation to accomplish this but I wanted to check beforehand).   Would both of these specialities be achievable for each armour set and how exactly would they both be done? Help would be much appreciated.
    • I finally got my Forge server up and running thanks to the help of the people on this forum and played fine for a day. Now since I started playing today, the server runs for 20-30 minutes then freezes and kicks everyone out but stays up and running but won't let anyone connect. Here is the latest debug log and crashlog from the server.
