I have been searching the internet for hours trying to figure out how to do a key binding and all the articles are very incomplete and/or for VERY old versions of Forge.

Please could you give more details or links to documentation on these functions.

  1. What is the full package path to import ClientRegistry?
  2. What are the parameters to ClientRegistry.registerKeyBinding?
  3. How do I register for events of type InputEvent.KeyInputEvent?
  4. Why does the documentation at https://docs.minecraftforge.net/en/latest/, when searched, not show any meaningful results for a search term of "KeyBinding" or "key input" or anything similar.

I am completely happy with links to the relevant documentation...if there is any.

You are absolutely correct: https://forge.gemwire.uk/wiki/Key_Mappings 🙂

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.
