I'm not quite sure how to kick a player from the server.
The mod I'm creating is a server side only one but I can't figure out how to correctly close the connection to a client.

Could anyone help me out?

    you can take a look at the KickCommand and the PauseScreen for an example how it vanilla does,
    since you are writing a server side mod the KickCommand will probably be more helpful
