Alright, so I have downloaded forge thousands of times before the installer.  But whenever I tried using the installer it just gives me an error saying "Corrupt download detected cannot install."

How do I fix it?

And if there is no fix, how do I manually install it?

I've looked around, not only on this site.

EDIT: No matter which build I select it just says the same thing.  I also re-installed MC but of no avail.

Thanks,

Meta

Does that happen in the launcher itself {after you click ok} or before you try to run the launcher?

A log/stack would be nice.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Screen shot it, and how are you running the installer... Try clearing your browsers cache and re-downloading it if it is indeed corrupt.

Gonna try cache reset.  I was simply double clicking it, making my computer use java to open it like usual.  Whenever I try to add an attachment it says error accessing file path.  I have the screenshot and everything perhaps I should upload it somewhere else and link it?

EDIT: Should be here.

EDIT:EDIT: Tried cache reset didn't work.  Is there a manual way of installing forge?

Interesting, I think I may know the issue :P

You have a ! in your path which may be fucking up the loading of the data front he jar itself. {Really need to look into figuring out how to inherantly support that}

But, for testing purposes, try in a folder outside the one with !

And if that doesn't work, run the install from the command line:

java -jar minecraftforge-installer-1.6.2-9.10.0.819.jar

And it'll print out the exact error you're getting.
