Posted August 10, 201312 yr I've just starting modding and I'm having some trouble with my mod. It runs fine in Eclipse, but after recompiling and reobfuscating it crashed when I add it to the mods folder. Crash is here: ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // This doesn't make any sense! Time: 8/10/13 12:28 PM Description: There was a severe problem during mod loading that has caused the game to fail cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: overcode.morestuffmod.Base at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.transition(LoadController.java:149) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:520) at cpw.mods.fml.client.FMLClientHandler.beginMinecraftLoading(FMLClientHandler.java:182) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_71384_a(Minecraft.java:470) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.func_99999_d(Minecraft.java:796) at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:101) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:57) at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:18) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: overcode.morestuffmod.Base at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader.findClass(LaunchClassLoader.java:179) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at cpw.mods.fml.common.ModClassLoader.loadClass(ModClassLoader.java:58) at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source) at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLModContainer.constructMod(FMLModContainer.java:457) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventHandler.handleEvent(EventHandler.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventHandler.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventHandler.java:45) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:313) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:296) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:267) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.sendEventToModContainer(LoadController.java:194) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.propogateStateMessage(LoadController.java:174) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventHandler.handleEvent(EventHandler.java:74) at com.google.common.eventbus.SynchronizedEventHandler.handleEvent(SynchronizedEventHandler.java:45) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatch(EventBus.java:313) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.dispatchQueuedEvents(EventBus.java:296) at com.google.common.eventbus.EventBus.post(EventBus.java:267) at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.distributeStateMessage(LoadController.java:105) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:510) ... 10 more Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader.findClass(LaunchClassLoader.java:171) ... 38 more It could be that the mod is packaged wrong, I couldn't find a simple tutorial. It might not be relevant but here it is just in case. It goes like Mod.zip > morestuffmod > .class files + client folder with ClientProxy.class The textures are Mod.zip > assets > morestuffmod > textures > items > the .png files + thumbs.db
August 10, 201312 yr It sais it couldn't find the class "overcode.morestuffmod.Base". Are you using a API for your mod? If so, make sure your mod gets loaded after the API. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/
August 10, 201312 yr Check if the Mod.zip contains the Base class. Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! August 10, 201312 yr cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: overcode.morestuffmod.Base From seeing that it is saying that the mod file directory is overcode/morestuffmod/Base.java in eclipse. When you package your mod it should read as: Mod.zip > overcode > morestuffmod > Base.class. Modding in general is very picky when it comes to file directory listing. A modder uses search for solutions, a coder asks for help only after looking into the main source of the game modding. A master java programmer has solutions and is helpful. Be friendly to others, they will be friendly to you (depending on how their day goes )
