Posted July 3, 20223 yr Hello, I am currently trying to run a Forge 1.16.5 modded server so I can play pixelmon with some friends and was wondering if anyone can help me fix this error which is coming up. When I run forge through a run.bat (more ram) I get this error message: Pixelmon Server>java -Xmx4096M -Xms4096M -jar forge-1.16.5-36.2.34.jar --nogui Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx4096M The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size. Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance. Edited July 3, 20223 yr by Comrade12
July 3, 20223 yr See: Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
July 3, 20223 yr Author I'm not sure how to remove this topic but I figured out the java version a second ago and now I'm trying to get the forge file to run with more ram but I got the new error (updated above)
July 3, 20223 yr Show the output from Quote java -version You are probably using 32 bit java which doesn't support that amount of memory? Download the 64 bit version.
