Posted July 10, 20223 yr I was creating a mod and added a few blocks, items, recipes, loot_drops, etc. And right after I've added some tools items this error appeared. Caused by: net.minecraft.ResourceLocationException: Non [a-z0-9_.-] character in namespace of location: .DS_Store: Please help fix this.
July 10, 20223 yr Use an excludes in your jar task configuration to ignore .DS_Store files. https://docs.gradle.org/current/dsl/org.gradle.api.tasks.bundling.Jar.html#org.gradle.api.tasks.bundling.Jar:excludes I am surprised gradle doesn't automatically exclude them? Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
July 10, 20223 yr Actually, you will probably be better off doing it the processResources. So it doesn't even get copied into your build folder (used by runclient) Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you.
