I am a server operator, who recently switched to Forge and installed some mods. One of my players recently had a windows update occur while playing, and this resulted in persistent crashing of Minecraft(w/forge) afterward. I have the Java log file that he supplied, but no Forge log file. I do apologize in advance for lack of this log, but I am unsure that it would even exist due to the nature of the problem.

Some information I've gathered from trying to troubleshoot with him:

  • The forge natives folder does not exist. Unless it's hidden, I don't think he'd have show hidden files on.
  • The crash occurs when loading a world, but the main menus function fine.

Some information I've gathered myself from the log file:

  • The error seems to originate from one of the mods trying to render
  • Minecraft seems to assume that the native exist, despite the folder's location being absent in windows.

Below is the Java log file, with some personal information omitted for his sake.

I would say he needs to go update his video drivers.

As it's failing in the ati drivers.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Thanks, I'll have him try that... If I can figure out how to explain it to him.
