i downloaded minecraft forge so that i could install some hd shaders. My computer can handle most games. when i opened mincraft my framerate dropped to 5 fps before i even downloaded any shaders. wtf is happening and how do i fix it

Either run a profiler on your game to see whats taking the processing time, or uninstall anything you have that isn't forge.

Log files are all nessasary.

Forge does NOT kill your FPS.  {It actually gives improvements} So, logs/profiler info.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

@LexManos what do you mean run a profiler... i only made an account on the forums to ask this question

Look into a tool called JProfile.

@LexManos I downloaded it... im not a very tech savvy person so... i dont know what any of that stuff means.. i just want to know why minecraft has low fps after i downloaded forge... i used to be able to play minecraft on max settings so i know for a fact that forge fucked my framerate

If Forge fucked your framerate then either your hardware is extramly odd.

Or you've screwed something up.

Etiher get on IRC so we can talk in real time, and create a join.me session so I can debug your crap for you. As I said, Forge does not do what you're saying.
