Whenever I try to load a Minecraft 1.18.2 world using any release of forge past 40.1.54 I get an exception In server tick loop. This happens with or without mods, resource packs or optifine. I use the curseforge launcher if that makes a difference. Should also mention this is a single player world

Here is the log: https://gist.github.com/tenshiiclone/c7c90a91912445f022bac270820fe280

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

The error says something is trying to change how chunk loading works but has not updated for the changes in forge 40.1.58

This gets reported like twice a day for optifine. 🙂

Even though the download page  and change log says they only support forge 40.0.24

But it sounds like you have some other mod that has the same problem.

It's Impossible to say which one since you haven't posted your logs/debug.log (and even then it might not be clear?)

For curseforge you will need to enable this in the minecraft advanced settings using the button in the bottom left of the screen.
